Teespring is a crowdfunding platform for custom apparel. The company was founded by Walker Williams and Evan Stites-Clayton in 2011as a way to simplify the process of selling custom t-shirts. The company received a $20 million Series A round led by Andreessen Horowitz.
Roadtrippers is a web based software application that helps travelers plan road trips. The application road trip planner calculates approximate trip mileage, travel time, and fuel cost. The software lets users discover independently owned points of interest anywhere in the United States, within 50 miles of a planned trip.
Dinner Lab is a membership-based social dining experiment that unites undiscovered chefs with adventurous diners who are looking for something different from the traditional restaurant experience. Based in New Orleans and with chapters in 19 cities, Dinner Lab is quickly spreading an unconventional dining experience across the country.
Banza, a company founded by 2012 Fellow Brian Rudolf, makes the first pasta made primarily from chickpeas. Banza and Brian will be featured on CNBC’s new reality TV show Restaurant Startup in July of 2014.
